Various types of sand for the construction industry. The use of the proper type of sand is a critical component of any paver installation. Its purpose is to keep the pavers firmly in place, preventing wobbling and weed growth between each paver. The jointing compound, or polymeric sand if you prefer, will protect your paver investment by preventing frost, erosion, weeds, and insects from damaging your patio, pool deck, driveway, or other hardscape feature. These tough materials can be used between pavers and slabs.

Poly sands and compounds serve an aesthetic function in addition to their protective properties. The right color can dramatically alter the appearance of your project. It can draw attention to the paver pattern, blur the lines between them, or subtly complement the paver's dominant colors.
